Thank you all for your help. I did as suggested and eventually got all ATI files off. I install new ones and it seems to be working in the little Catalyst window with the racing car. (This would not display before.) I think as Lorthania say, the card was getting hot and I got strange lines and artif...
ahhh...you know I thought I could not hear the fan so loud...my fan is quiet then loud. Often the sound changed every 30 seconds or so. But I looked at the fan when I open the PC and it was rotating. Perhaps it was not rotating so fast? I pointed my 250mm desk fan into my PC. I am hopeing that it is...

Hi, I have a little problem with my 3D card. I started to get odd lines comeing out of objects in the game world so thought I would reboot. When I came back to DAoC in the charecter selection screen I could not see the charecters as they had dissapeared under lines and 'growths' all over the place. ...

Yep Fin, I was asked a lot about the Soulcatcher name, some people telling me I stole it (never the person himself I imagine he did not mind at all). It was basicaly PMs out of the blue saying 'You stole my frie...

I hope this is not too rude to ask...
But where did people get their charecter names form. I don't know, it seems personal to ask hehe. I have to confess that Yowin was from the DAoC name generator and I stole Soulcatcher from a series of books about the 'Black Company' by (I think) Glen Cook. (I got into some trouble over it and even a...

oow great. Thanks. I remember being told that parry was quite important before, but your spec confirms what I have seen since comeing back that it is nolonger crutial. I haven't yet found a list/descriptions of the skills (at work) but I read that most specials now don't start with a parry? Itching ...

Friars have left the building?
Hi, :help: I have been away from DAoC for a long, long time, but I played in CoA so joined this forum through alliance. (I think ToA was not out yet when I left.) I noticed on return that my Friar had lost all her Spec so I went to read again on what all the skill and spells did. About every froum I...

Illegal Characters
Could anyone tell me if Æ Ð Þ æ ð þ etc are considered by GOA to be illegal characters? I’d like to use them in the correct spelling of a last name of my character but am unsure if I’d get into trouble over it. It would seem a shame if these genuine period letters were not allowed.
