Paladin spec

Could not be @rsed to level the last few weeks, since I have been pretty active with my lvl 50 chars which gives me a nice choice of what to play at what moment.
But now that we will get the /level 20 command in the game, I see a good oppertunity to get some chars to lvl 40 fast again.
One of my choices will be my pally and I was thinking of the following spec.
42 shield (for slam obviously)
45 chants (not last and best AF chant and not last and best melee add buffer)
45 slash (good slash damage , low variance)
4 parry

Any thoughts about this one?

No 2H, as I will switch to 2H or Pole on my Arms if this one hits 50 most likely.(Which will be somewhere next year

)

My 2 cents:

42 shield for slam

48 chants for last af chant (highest af in the game with this, u really want it)
39 slash for backslash (very nice style with big dmg)
15 parry (can up this a bit if u auto-train slash, and u can grab MoParry ra for that little bit extra as well)

My pala is currently 42 shield, 46 chants, 44 slash, rest parry. But from what i've heard the dmg variance u get from dropping to 39 slash is almost undetectable and getting MoPain will be alot nicer for dmg than the extra 5 slash lvls.

20 parry

but if you say the last AF chant is vital... Maybe better the last AF chant then 5 points more in parry

Parry is nice tho.

i got 48 chants, 34 slash, 42 shield, 24 parry.

i used to have 44 slash, but saw very little dmg loss when i went to 34. (no backslash thou, which was nice as cat says)

with an af 968 MoParry and MoBlocking ppl and mobs have a hard time hitting you.
can solo high lvl mobs easily (if slowly

)
pallies are never gonna be big hitters and lowering slash didn't hurt.

46 chants is the minimum thou for a pally imho

Your suggestion sounds like the way I'll be going. Really sounds like a good spec, and I'm auto-training slash atm, tho /level'd from lvl 11 to 20, so have lost a few points there

Me better like full shield
If have Master of block realm ability. You can block each 3 hit and then use barbarian style (shield 50 ) and then not needed high slash
Im use ametist slash and im happy
And 4 parry is much to low IMO

30 parry.

with moblocking2 and moparry2 I was able to get a xanxicaran patrol to 90% health before it dropped me... nough said

Addl is great

I watched him tank about 6 mobs simultaneously, and he got hit about 7 times. I believe the mobs were orange con to him, too
