Solomon Kane . critics gave it 6.3/10 ignore them there clueless morons i give it 9/10 . i mean come on max vodsydon ,pete posslthwaite ,mackenzie crook and the guy who played mark antony in the series Rome . Whats not to like ,some of the special effects are amazing . devils reaper and fire demon for example
anyway this film is worth it

Centurian a bit short this one but not too bad one for when there is sod all else to watch 6/10

Robin hood starts out primising in france . The interaction with hood and marion is good . the fighting after that is utter bollocks and dont even get me started on that last battle with the landing craft
for a ridley scot film i was not impressed one bit all in all its pretty shit
not even worth a ratinf tbh . from the man who did kingdon of heaven im mystified

salt ... not bad but not great either . average thriller .
a rather synical attempt by hollywood to create a female bourne . the problem is its so predictable its laughable . the main plot is ridiculous to the point of stupid . and there attempts to copy the way bourne gave you bits of background info as the film moves along was just clumsy and didnt work
harsh this may well be but im one of those ppl who is gettin pretty pissed off with the unending shit that hollywood is churning out these days . the decent ideas all seem to come from film companys such as eurocorp . transporter , taken, bourne to name but a few . even kick ass was a low budget (28mill dollars) british film . which made a mockery of the big budget dross hollywood has done fantastic 4 anyone <shiver>
its about time britain setup its own film industry . since we have the best well directors ,writers, actors ect ect . would probably put hollywood out of buisness tbh heh

girl with the dragon tattoo 10/10 the best who dunnit thriller iv ever seen . tbh i didnt think they could ever do the book justice in the film . But i was supprised at how good a job they did
From the 1st scene i was gripped right until the end . I will not give anything away for anyone who has not read the book . but this one is going on my all time top 10 movies
powerfull stuff with a great plot . this really is a must see movie
dont be put off by it been swedish you can play the english speaking version on the DVD if you hate reading suntitles

unthinkable . sam L jackson .... this is about torture and how far would you go to save 10 million lives . very interesting film for that question alone

iron man 2 ... 1st one was good this one is typical hollywood shite

jonah hex . the latest graghic novel to get the movie treatment .. erm doesnt work , dont get me wrong this isnt a bad film really just not worth going out of your way for

30 days of night < dark days> sequel . que the B movie actors with week assed plot bad script and in general utterly shite film . but see the 1st one its superb

the new daughter .. kevin costner .. <ALERT> aviod this pile of crap at all costs THE worst film iv ever seen

the ghost / brosnan and mcgregor . this one is strangly compeling as in once you start watching you cant stop ( sign of a good thriller then XD ) tom wilkinson has a part and is menacing as hell without seeming to be . worth the watch this one

series .. Spartacus . Blood and sand . this is also done with a graphic novel kind of feel in the fights .. think 300 . not for small children this its the most gorey bloodthirsty tv series ever and the sex verges on porn at times but dont miss this utterly brilliant take on republican rome

Spartacus is brilliant - just a shame what happened with the lead - hopefully its not the end of the series.

Sons of Anarchy - love it - Soprano's on bikes!

Walking Dead - best promising zombie tv show since...erm..ever?

Watchmen directors cut - x-men for adults!

Machete - cracking 70's throwback - stupid and pointless but I grinned the whole way through it! Just remember...Machete don't text !

The 1st episode of the Walking Dead was quite good, reminded me alot of 28 days later, but with zombies instead of rage victims!

Dexter - 4th series just finished in the uk, but the 5th continues where the 4th left off and just leaves you wanting more at the end of each episode!

Films aren't my bag but I've seen a couple of cracking tv series recently.

Obviously the wire - if you haven't watched it, you must. Best ever.

Sons of anarchy. S1 starts off a bit slow but once it gets going it's cracking. S2 and S3 are great. Think it aired on FX but can be found in the usual places.

the wire ? you must be joking i thought it had too many characters and skiped about way too much . tried it a few timed just couldnt get into it . sorry ray if you really like it .

ok a few movies
true grit . the new remake .. erm never thought i would say this about a john wayne western but .. the remake pisses all over the old version . utterly brilliant
death race 2 .. prequil to death race . pretty much same stuff as the 1st . its not great but it does its job if its raining heh
the fighter bale and wahlberg . total and complete shite steer clear

no evsy its not the end of spartacus they recast him and series 2 id about on torrents at the mo

oh if anyone like me though the battlestar galatica series was brilliant but found caprica shite . i have good news . a new series called blood and steel focusing on the 1st cylon war is on the way .
remeber that mini story in razor about adama as husker in the 1st war ? well that what the new one will be <jumps up and down with exitment>

I'm sorry hawkeye, but no-one compares to the duke! Now who am I to say this as I've not seen the remake, but I fear for polishedness which is what the public seem to want these days, while the original was positively ... well ... gritty.

hehe i know just what you mean and until i saw this i thought the very same thing .. and belive me this isnt polished is gritty nasty and at times just mean .. the actress who plays the 14 year old girl steals every scene she is in . and i hate jeff bridges i think hes a crap actor . but in this he shines . but dont take my word for it see it . after all even the best film critics in the world are simply giveing there own personal opinion, others may not agree as ppl like different things . i can simply tell you i found it gripping and very entertaining. and was left at the end wanting more

hers a few more
the kid . gritty and somewhat nasty look at the life of a guy badly abused as a child through family violence . dont let the subject put you off , this is a true story and its superb

conviction . hilary swanks new movie , i must admit iv been a fan of hers ever since million dollar babe . This has been hyped up to hell , but truth be told its very average indeed , ok if its raining ect

the company men . what happend to some high flyer exec types in the us after the markets shat themselves . id never heard of this but really enjoyed it , tommy lee jones id great as usual . and afleck is alot better than i thought he would be . not a classic but i found it compeling and entertaing

Spartacus started again on Fri in the States - tis a prequel to season 1 but they have now cast a new lead to take over as Spartacus when they start filming season 2, can't wait!

Films
RED - cracking fun film about old CIA agents.

The A Team extended cut - does what it says on the tin and even explains why BA is scared to fly...loved it. cheesy but fun.

Let me in ...... a film by the newly reformed hammer house of horror
vampire tale with the girl from kick ass and the boy from the road
this is an original , chilling and at times heart rending vampire tale
none of that teenage nicey nicey vampire crap here
these 2 really are the future both fatastic actors . highly recomend this

Scott Pilgrim vs The World... really wanted to love this film but at best..it was ok, not as funny as I thought it was going to be, lots of old school reference's to video games etc but I just felt it was trying too hard to be uber cool and forgot about the actual quality of the film, parts of it I really enjoyed visually but when it finished I was more than ready for the end. Just found it underwhelming really.

Just finished season 4 of My Name is Earl - still love that show to bits, find myself laughing out loud even when watching it alone..

have to disagree on Scott Pilgrim. It's not often I'm happy to watch a film more than once....

This one's all about the cinematography - the pacing, the effects - lovely.

I agree with the fact it looks lovely - the band battle with the ape and dragons is a superb scene, I can't quite put my finger on what was wrong with it, I was just a bit bored whilst watching it.

Oh and didn't realise Earl ended on season 4 - gutted !
