Hmm GW2 seems more promising though. Seems to me to be a lot of work to make an MMO of The Elder Scrolls

they started it 5 years ago acording to nexus

and there working on end game content more than the grind part . which may be a winner for them lack of end game content is what tends to kill off most mmo;s nowadays even Swtor had shit end game content
ill keep an eye on this one myself though

Been following TESO since it was first announced and i've been really impressed with how much they've listend to the community so far.

Lots of good info has been coming out and hoping for lots more, starting with PAX East next week.

Beta invites should be going out at the end of the month so keeping fingers crossed :P

What are peoples thoughts on the gameplay footage from gamecon?

For me it's going to be all about how the PVP pans out in the end, hoping against hope for a DAOC styled endgame.

Have yet to find anything close however the 3 realm warfare sounds promising...but that's what they said with GW2 and Warhammer.

I'm contemplating this...cant decide if I could get anything out of it with only very small amounts of playtime.

That's a really difficult question to answer, mainly because I think it's a Marmite game. Personally I had to completely change my mindset to enjoy it, to start with I was getting frustrated with the slow pace of the game, then when I approached it as Skyrim with others I really started to enjoy it.

I'm now level 20 enjoying the world and it's atmosphere, hating the inventory challenges, loving the storylines, hating my levels ineffectiveness in PvP, loving how large and varied the PvP zone is, jealous of the max level characters, loving the fact that I am enjoying the journey and on and on.

Value (like beauty) though is in the eye of the beholder and I am quite happy to have paid the box price and the sub to play, so far.

I've got a /played of 1 day 20 hrs for my 20 levels since the headstart started a lot less than some here :p

Decided I could stretch to 30 quid to see what it was like, hopefully will get on-line with it this evening. Do I need a specific faction/server to play with you guys?

got it yesterday ..and bleri is right if you dont play it like skyrim it will drive you mad .. after that its great fun ..im daggerfall alliance i think .. name is celathriel .a little wood elf who enjoys shooting and stabbing ppl in the face .while casually sucking the life out of them XD

well 30 lvls in now .. the pvp is stupidly good fun and very well done

that said there are way too many bug still in this game and some very anoying ones ..the pve is bland and gets old very fast ..and since the 30 day period ended for ppl who bought on launch the population has droped alot

that said however im still haveing fun all in all ...wheather it lasts after i hit max lvl will depend on pvp ans population numbers takeing part we will see

it didnt last after getting to lvl 50 i found the so called vet zones were nothing more than doing the other factions quests .. the vet dungeons were not anything special either just pumped up mobs and bosses ... while the pvp was fun at times at peak times it was nothing but a lagfest of zerg warfare .. so is the end game worth the subs cost .. id say a big fat no .. i have cancelled my acount and unistalled the game .. not impressed at all .. and did i meantion the questing was utterly boring

Agree the questing does get boring and is unfortunately linear. I've not managed to reach 50 though due to allowable playtime, using my playtime to PvP, which I enjoy most of the time and quest burn out.

At times I love it and at others I'm not so sure but as I'm generally not interested in other MMO's I'm quite happy to carry on subscribing for the moment.

Although having been away for a few days and logging back in last night I must admit I felt unmotivated and uninspired enough to just log back out.

yeah its a shame really the graphics are really nice and the pvp works really .. but the whole questing i found to be very lazy and half arssed programming .. the dungeons were also boring and in some cases annoying at how long they are especially if you end up with a sack full of utter junk at the end .. which you do a lot .. the inventory limits were a joke .. i had to buy 2 horses i for speed and stam in pvp and one for carry space when questing .. stupid

oh well
