as this is taking too long and going nowhere heres the answer:

Gold Dust Woman by Fleetwood Mac from the massively popular (not round here tho it seems) Rumours album.

someone else spam a quote as i am gobsmacked that nobody knew this :o

i think my next quote will have to be from something by blue or westlife if anyone is to have a hope of getting it :P

That actually sounds familiar... I give myself a 0.071% chance of guessing it :)

Random guess number 1) Something by the Chilli Peppers?

It has to haev made the UK charts as well - top 40 - not top 200!!! And can't be by some obscure 1 hit wonders from 1973 or anything!! Otherwise you are grounded!

Maybe we should rebel and create our own private song lyric thread and we can PM each other the answers so we both look mega clever song buffs as well - we can google obscure songs as well from bizarre bands such as http://www.thefieryfurnaces.com/releases.htm who have songs like We got back the plague etc...(did a search for very odd bands!)

We will look like we totally pwn music and probably will both get signed up as talent spotters for some huge music company!! And then we can come back to this thread and laugh at all the people who didn't think of our cunning plan!! muhahahahahahahahahaha !!!!!!!!!!
