Webcam program needed....

Tried MSN Messenger and its having issues - anyone know of any programs that are free to use for webcam chatting? Trying to show teh family in USA our new addition via the wonders of the interweb and having some probs :(

What sort of probs, MSN is really great for webcam stuff.

wouldnt connect at all on msn tho may need to try it with someone other than wifes sister who aint great on a pc.

did you do all the audio and video setup routine stuff? select the correct source for microphone and webcam etc?

As far as I know - didnt have Mic connected as was going to use telephone for better quality, the only thing I was wondering if the screen resolution would make a difference - webcam is 800x600 I think but screen set at 1024xsomething or other....(cant be bothered to check on desktop - different pc to one I am on atm!)

Make sure you have the latest messenger:

http://get.live.com/messenger/overview

then get latest drivers for webcam.

Install latest webcam drivers and it will kind of automatically setup the webcam for use with any IM clients it finds.
