Duels
Hmmm... been thinking about the duels (which we'll get in about three years...)
(the /duel type, not the 'ponce about in a quiet bit of emain' type)
most people think of these happening at range 0, or some of the more forward thinking 'max spell range'
(the amount of whines in the VN boards about 'waaah how is a wizard supposed to win!' 'what if someone uses buffs! code it in so that you can't have buffs on when dueling! waaah!')
But I was thinking.... battlefield Camelot start at the round table, start the duel, you have 30 seconds to run away and hide then you hunt each other down
might be a bit big for just 1 on 1... so maybe teams
(cept not sure if you can have more than one duel accepted at once... if not you could have it that players A and B versus C and D, but only A can kill C and only B can kill D... nowhere near as cool though.. tagteam deathmatch!)
That's an idea for daft tasks for promotion 'beat that gimpy mercenary' to get a promotion

The trick for a 2H should be to have a dagger as well.
First wield the dagger to kill the protecting shield. It has no use to hit very hard on a protecting bulb. Then wield your 2H. Waiting time for the next shot is not the 5 sec + debuffing and stuff, but only 1.5 sec+debuffing spells.
2 Clean shots should be okay then.

might be doable too... you can hotkey 2h 1h and shield ... so flick from dagger/shield to 2h flick back...
course my merc will butcher second and might beat the shield tanks... (dual wield is nice against pbt and shields)
Will be tough against 2h/polearms though... halved parry

my 3.0 sec staff hits yellows for 150-200 so lets see how many HP u got second: 800 or 900 unbuffed?
with my haste on i swing that in 2.04 secs then factor in my quickness and i am well inside 2 secs almost on the 1.5second hardcap. So i need to get in 5-6 hits. PBT will save u from i think 2 hits before i kill you.
Your debuff is 19% right? well i can purge it anyway and i have high matter resistance so i dont think u will get it off before i interrupt you.
Friar 'should' beat any melee class simply because we are buffed and they are not I suspect versus polearms and mercs it will be 50/50 win tho maybe slightly in Friar's favour

yeah I imagine a friar with buffs and haste will kill any unbuffed tank...
if you get both of them fully buffed the tank will win I think...
by a long shot without haste, quite close with haste...
it also helps if we're all the same level so I'll not be pwning you for a few levels yet

point is that when i say a TANK then i dont mean a healer hybrid=) a tank wears a plate armor=) (speak to the hand because the face wont listen=)
