done with education as IT-supporter on the 23rd of june, so from the 1st of july I´m looking for a place to work.
now you may ask, why northern england? well I would like to learn gaelic, and homestudy books just doesn´t do it for me, I don´t have a problem moving from dk to uk as I´ve always wanted to go there.
(also if close to edinbrugh I can leech food of fingo and xin when I´m poor and hungry )

heh won't learn much gaelic in the north of england... nor in most of scotland.
You want the north of scotland and the western isles, the isle of man, wales or ireland. (different dialects though - scottish gaelic, welsh, manx and irish gaelic)
That said you can learn gaelic anywhere, just doubt you'd get to use it anywhere other than the above.
(spose if yer in scotland you can watch the gaelic telly we get on bbc2 every thursday)
For jobs - london/south east england is the easiest place to get a job probably but I imagine there'll be plenty elsewhere for IT (e.g. Edinburgh as you said, so you can pop round for tea).

Beware the Wickerman! they wont like your sort with your fancy computer and interweb round those parts. Move to Ireland, its way better than England or Scotland (and certainly Wales).
