DAoCBeer in Edinburgh !

Post by Fingoniel »

For those that don't read BW...

http://forums.barrysworld.com/showthrea ... adid=66626

mini Daoc pub meet thing in edinburgh on the 28th June ... very informal :)
Not organising anything big.. and it's fairly short notice so I don't imagine anyone would want to fly over from anywhere foreign...

but if ye come to Frankenstiens in Edinburgh (on George IV bridge) on 28th of June (that's a week on saturday) there should be some random daoc folks there.

If anyone wants I can post directions from the station or whatever...

Post here if you fancy coming

Meeting 3pm in Frankenstiens - it gets very busy later on so we'll move to the Tron for 7pm, and possibly the Holyrood Tavern after if the Tron gets crap

yeah :( it's really just a quick thing for those that are localish.

Not expecting any silly long journeys.

(although you can get a Virgin train all the way here for probably quite cheap if they still do their offers.... course it's 10 hours on a train ;))

In my experiance of travel on trains for football, getting there is easy, getting back when you are total slaughtered is a differnet story.

got some strange looks when I did a lap of Frankensteins carrying the banner (to hopefully attract the attention of any other daocers lurking upstairs... which it did - we got the two random prydwenites)

Lol, have to say the banner looks very very cool and looks like it wasn't a big zerg. Oh well we don't like those anyways.

Not fair, by the time my train arrived at Perth I was sober :(

Got a kiss from some strange woman who wasnt sober though
Then again, she was giving everyone a kiss, some of the women objected.

Don't forget the return invite for the Prydwen Edinburgh meet his weekend!

Details can be found here:

http://www.prydwen.net/forum/showthread ... eadid=6557

And I'm curious - who were the random Prydwenites you found in the pub last time?

Hopefully see (some) of you at the weekend........

can't remember who they were - they ran off fairly early too.. just two folks from alb/prydwen.

We had a third (Frank) and he stayed for a bit longer - went to the Tron then vanished without a trace (leaving 2/3 of a pint left!!! sacrilege!)

which reminds me - deathsdisciple, have you managed to get the photos developed yet?
